Elizabeth Warren: My name necklace is gold, my necklace is diamond, my name is diamond
- July 29, 2021
A Democratic Senate candidate in Massachusetts has made a name for herself by going by the nickname “Elizabeth Warren” for her signature necklace that features the words “Dirty Elizabeth” printed across the front.
The phrase, which refers to her alleged ties to the Wall Street industry, has garnered a loyal following of supporters on social media and online forums, but the necklacing was reportedly inspired by her political ambitions.
“I’m not a politician, but I love politics,” Warren said in a recent interview with the Boston Herald.
Her campaign, the Massachusetts Democrat Party and the Warrens’ campaign have been quick to distance themselves from the phrase.
Instead, they have focused on her accomplishments in the Senate and her ability to connect with the voters.
In an interview with MSNBC on Thursday, Warren’s chief strategist, David Axelrod, said the campaign has a “very clear vision of what she wants the next generation of American leaders to be like.”
“She believes in people who have the same values, the same goals, the kind of ideals that are at the core of America,” Axelrod said.
Axelrod also said that Warren is “the kind of person who could be the most effective president in history, if she were to run.”
But the phrase, as it is often used, is not exactly what Warren’s supporters have in mind.
While it is possible to get a diamond necklace with the words “#DirtyElizabeth” printed on it, it is not easy to get one that reads like it is a real, physical item.
According to Elizabeth Warren’s campaign website, the necklace features an “uncut and unaltered diamond, made from pure platinum, encased in a black-and-white-dyed metallic finish.”
It also has a small diamond that reads “My name is Elizabeth” and is “signed by Elizabeth Warren.”
It is also unclear what the word “Dirt” means, and Warren’s own campaign has made no mention of the word on its website or in any of its communications.
It is unclear how many people have bought the necklace, though some reports claim that it is sold out in less than 24 hours.
The campaign has since deleted the listing and replaced it with a new listing that has the word, “My Name is” printed above it, which is what the campaign said it meant to have.
A tweet from Warren’s account on Thursday said that she “has an awesome necklaced necklace for the office of the Senator.”
“I love this phrase.
I love this brand.
I want to get this back,” she said.”
It’s a beautiful statement.
It’s an inspirational statement.
And it’s very aspirational, which I think is what you want to have from a presidential candidate.”
Warren is a former Harvard Law School classmate of Barack Obama and a top surrogate for Hillary Clinton.
She served as a Senate staffer during the Obama administration and was the chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, where she championed the Affordable Care Act.
Warren has also served on the boards of several private equity firms and is a frequent guest on CNBC.
She has also appeared on Fox News and CNN, where her views are often challenged.
